HOW IT WORKS-BEFORE YOUR VISIT

Let's set you up for success before I even arrive.

  • For In-Person Visits:

    • Complete your consents and intake form

    • Create your Spruce account — that's how we'll stay in touch

    • Write down every question and concern, no matter how small

    • Gather any supplies you have questions about — pumps, bottles, nipple shields, pacifiers, all of it

    • Try not to do a full feed right before we meet. If baby is starving, give a snack (about 1oz) or do a short session

    • Do not stress about how you look or how your house looks. Seriously. I am not there to judge your laundry

Your card on file will be charged for any fees prior to my arrival

    For Virtual Visits:

    • Complete your consents and intake form

    • Create your Spruce account

    • Write down every question and concern

    • Find a well-lit space where I can clearly see you and baby — natural light works great

    • Have any supplies you want to discuss nearby and ready

    • Test your camera and audio before we connect

    • Try not to do a full feed right before we meet so we can observe a feeding together in real time (if applicable)

HOW IT WORKS — DURING YOUR VISIT

For In-Person Visits:

Here's what you can expect when we're together:

I will wash my hands and maintain proper hygiene throughout our entire visit. I will always ask permission before touching you or your baby. Your body, your space, your comfort matters. I will assess baby's oral anatomy and check in on your breast and nipple health ( as needed). I'll observe a feeding session and give you real-time feedback without hovering over your shoulder the whole time. I'll do a pre and post feed weight check when baby cooperates. And by the time we're done, we will have talked through your goals and started building a plan that's actually designed for your life.

For Virtual Visits:

Here's what you can expect on your call:

We will start by talking through what's been going on — your full feeding picture, not just the surface stuff. I will guide you through a self-assessment so we can identify what's happening with latch, positioning, and milk transfer. You'll feed baby on camera so I can observe and give you real-time feedback and corrections. I'll answer every question on your list. And we will leave the call with a clear, personalized care plan — not a generic handout.

Virtual visits are not a lesser version of care. They are a different delivery of the same clinical expertise.

The visit ending doesn't mean I disappear.

Within 24 to 48 business hours you will receive a comprehensive, personalized care plan documenting everything we discussed and every recommendation made. You will have unlimited follow-up messaging through Spruce or email for 7 days after each consultation — use it.

Breastfeeding is a process. Things won't always resolve after one visit and that's not a failure, that's just how this works. If something in your care plan needs to be adjusted, contact me. We are a team and the plan only works if it's actually working for you. If I don't hear from you, I'll assume things are going well but my door is always open.
