I’m Courtney Skipworth, a Registered Nurse, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and your breastfeeding homegirl.

I didn't get into this work because it looked good on a resume. I got into it because I've lived it — the sore nipples, the 2am panic scroll, the conflicting advice from people who meant well but had no idea what they were talking about. I know what it feels like to love your baby and simultaneously want to quit breastfeeding on the same day. I've been there. I'm still in it.

My passion for this work didn't start in a lactation course, it started in the Navy, where my very first assignment as a new nurse and naval officer, by choice, was the Maternal Child Unit. For three years I showed up every day for parents in one of the most vulnerable seasons of their lives. I watched families figure out feeding under pressure, with little sleep, and not enough support. I fell in love with that work and I never left it.

My approach is simple: assess what's actually happening, give you real answers, and build a plan that works for your body, your baby, and your actual life. I'm not here to tell you what you want to hear. I'm here to help you confidently reach your goals.

I also specialize in newborn and intimate motherhood photography — because the season you're in right now deserves to be documented. My photography is a constant reminder of the beauty that lies in chaos.
